Chuen first found himself interested in the piano, but then he found the instrument in his life, the saxophone, when he touch upon and was impressed by the shininess and tone of the instrument.

Chuen performs since he was in high school. He performed in a number of school functions and
the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

After the high school study, Chuen has spent years of time on studying the classical music. He,
however, found his love after hearing a CD of Sonny Rollins, and that is Jazz.

Since 2001, Chuen was given opportunities to be a sideman in the Hong Kong Jazz clubs. Wishing to further expand his career, he then stood out and set up his own band, “C x J”, playing the traditional Chinese Music with new arrangement and Jazz improvisation, and trying to discover other views of the Chinese music.

Not only Jazz, Chuen also plays and does keen on different genres of music, including Pop, Rock, R & B, and Hymns, the most important music in his life.

“Whatever and whenever I play, I’m playing for The Lord Jesus, and His Glory.”

身為色士風手的阿銓，初次接觸並繼而愛上的樂器卻是鋼琴。

然而在一次機緣下接觸到色士風，隨即被它光閃閃的外表和靈活多變的音色深深吸引住。

阿銓早在中學的時代已開始作演奏，除於不少學校活動表演過，更曾於香港文化中心演出。

阿銓曾努力不懈鑽研古典音樂，唯發覺最鍾愛的卻是爵士樂。

然他的努力不但沒有白廢，更為他日後的工作打下了深厚的基礎。

在這幾年間，阿銓除以導師身份與學生分享音樂心得外，亦在不少地方作公開演奏，

更於二零零一年與中樂樂手黃師傅組成「C & J」樂隊。

樂隊以色士風和琵琶，配合現代的編曲方式及爵士樂的即興演奏法，

重新演繹傳統中國樂曲，向大眾展示一種嶄新的音色與張力。

因著工作的關係，阿銓曾與不同的樂手合作，接觸到不同的音樂風格，拓展了他的音樂空間。

若說爵士樂是阿銓的最愛，那麼，詩歌想必是他生命中最重要的音樂。

在音樂的背後，他渴望讚頌傳揚主的名，並歸榮耀予　神。
